The Stanhope Community Centre is a registered charity (Reg. Charity No. 1166351) based within the old Police Station (built in 1841). Located in the beautiful market town of Stanhope in Weardale, County Durham, the centre offers comfortable accommodation for all kinds of community events and a wide range of leisure activities for all ages and all abilities.

We have activity rooms, meeting rooms, a large hall, plus a computer suite for community use. There are on-site tea and coffee making facilities along with cooking facilities.

If you have an interest or hobby, that you would like to share with others, or maybe you want to start a new interest group, then get in touch, we always try our best to accommodate everyone.

Garage Sales Helpers

If you can give a few hours of your time on a regular basis please come and help us.

Students, work-seekers some time with us could help with your future and add a different experience to your c.v.

Room Hire

We offer several rooms at low cost rent. Whether you want to run a group session or hold a meeting or seminar our rooms offer light and comfortable rooms of various sizes.

We also have a large hall (see image 3) which is ideal for exercise classes, seminars, presentations and talks.

We also provide tea, coffee, soft drinks and light refreshments. Catering can be arranged.
